Zovirax Suspension is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps your body get rid of a sore throat and cold. It is used to relieve the symptoms of cold sores (herpes simplex virus) and other types of viral infections (herpes zoster and herpes simplex). Zovirax Suspension will help reduce the severity of symptoms and reduce the chance of getting an infected cold and shingles. It is used to relieve the symptoms of chickenpox and shingles, as well as to prevent the occurrence of complications from shingles. Zovirax Suspension can also be used to reduce the risk of complications associated with chickenpox in people who have had a shingles or viral infection after exposure. It is thought to work by blocking the replication of the virus that causes the infection. Zovirax Suspension can be used to prevent complications from shingles and to treat outbreaks of genital herpes and other viral infections during outbreaks in people who have a known history of outbreaks of these conditions. It may also reduce the risk of complications associated with outbreaks in people who have a viral infection after exposure.
Dosage
The dosage of Zovirax Suspension is dependent on the form and the condition being treated. Cold sores (herpes simplex virus) are infections caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV) that can lead to serious symptoms such as a painful rash, fever, chills, headache, and diarrhea. For shingles, the recommended dosage is as follows: The shingles patients should also be treated with acyclovir to reduce the risk of complications related to shingles.
Zovirax Suspension should be taken orally with or without food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, do not take it and continue as before. If you have not been prescribed Zovirax Suspension, do not change your treatment or skip any dose. Do not take Zovirax Suspension if you are allergic to acyclovir, levomethrine nitrate, or any of the other inactive ingredients in Zovirax Suspension.
Zovirax Suspension should be taken once daily, with or without food.
Zovirax Suspension can help prevent the development of drug-resistant bacteria, which can make some medications less effective. To do so, break the Zovirax Suspension down into small pieces and place it in the mouth, without chewing. Do not crush or chew the Zovirax Suspension. Zovirax Suspension is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age because the drug may pass into the breast milk and into the breastmilk. It is also not safe for use in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or severe gastrointestinal bleeding.
Zovirax Suspension is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women because it cannot be habit-forming. It should not be used during the last half of pregnancy or during the first trimester of pregnancy due to the risk of the baby being born with an unplanned pregnancy ( miscarriage).
Zovirax Suspension should not be used in children under the age of 18 years because the drug may pass into the breast milk and into the breastmilk. It is not safe for use in patients with a history of breast cancer (metastatic) or severe hereditary angioedema (heredosefree).
